we have been trying to get to the beach for a couple weeks, but every time i thought about packing all the kids up, all the toys, all the things that it takes to get to the beach it overwhelmed me & then i would say let’s save that for another day.

well on sunday i finally felt energized enough to get out & i am so so thankful that we did :: the salt air, the sand between my toes, the waves crashing, my boys squealing with excitement as they collected crabs & seaweed, feeding my baby to the sounds of the waves, & being with my family of five it was perfect! it was exactly what i needed & seeing my little california girl at the beach made my heart melt- i love this little tribe of mine so much. ❤

when i was a little girl i had two older brothers just like you & i would play kickball, climb trees, ride bikes, & even play legos, but my very favorite thing in all the world was to play baby dolls & pretend to be a mommy. fast forward 30 years & here i am rocking you to sleep & it is not play anymore – you my dear are my little beautiful baby doll & i feel so blessed that you are mine. 

so thankful to have this sweet time in our life captured–our little peanut is so much bigger already!

i can not even believe that a whole month has passed by since you came into our lives. 

we are all smitten over here. your brothers love you so much & look forward to waking up to you each morning & being able to kiss your cheeks & sing you songs. 

this month you have grown like a weed!

• you are already 9lbs 2oz & 21.5 inches long! 

•you are in a size 1 diaper 

•you are in 0-3 month clothes

• you are sleeping 6+ hours a night 

• you love your paci 

•you started smiling at 3 weeks! & i have a video to prove it!! 

•you love your rock & play sleeper & hate the bassinet

•you love laying on your back & staring at the ceiling fan- we joke that it is your very best friend. 

•you are such a good baby. you hardly ever cry & are so incredibly content. 

my sweet girl, you are a ray of sunshine in my life. i couldn’t be more thankful for this last month- sometimes i still can’t believe that i have a little girl! you are so much fun! i love you evie!

my heart can not even believe that in two short days you will be seven! being your mom has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. you are such a light & joy to be around. i love to see the way you bless people by giving your love so freely.  i love how you hardly ever meet a stranger & are so eager to make friends & be kind. i love how much reading means to you & how so often i can find you with your nose stuck in a book. i love how much you really do love your family & you make sure that we all feel your love!
